Signle / Double Drum Winch​ Description

Drum is one of the important parts of lifting machinery, used to wind wire rope in lifting mechanism or traction mechanism.By transferring the driving force provided by the hydraulic or electric drive device to the wire rope, the rotary motion of the drive device is transformed into the linear motion required.

1. According to the number of winding layers:

1) Single winding: Only 1 layer of wire rope is wound on the drum, spiral groove is usually cut on the drum surface.

2) Double winding: The drum is wound with 2 layers of wire rope, spiral grooves or lebus grooves can be used.

3) Multi-winding:Multilayer wire rope winding on the drum, used for particularly large lifting height or compact mechanism occasions, the surface of the drum cutting lebus grooves.

2. According to the processing method:

1) Casting Drum:The casting material is usually cast steel or cast iron.

2) Welding Drum:The drum core is made of seamless pipe or rolled with steel plate, welding flange and drum core, and eliminating welding stress before machining.

3. According to the number of drum segmentation

1) Double winding:Two wire ropes can be wrapped around a drum.The rope can be wound in the same direction or in the opposite direction

2) Multi-winding:The surface of a drum is divided into several drums by baffles, each of which can be used separately for winding rope.

Application range of mining winch

Mine winch is mainly used for underground or open-pit ore handling and filling operations in metal mines and other mines. It is mainly used for horizontal harrow transportation, and can also be used for horizontal or inclination Angle is not more than 44° of slope harrow transportation, can not be used as lifting equipment. The driver can operate by hand at the side of the winch, or by pushing a button a few meters to tens of meters away from the winch.

Structure description of mine winch

Mine winch has a reduction gear, main drum, auxiliary drum, control device, steel rope guide device and motor composition. These parts are respectively installed inside and outside the shell. The shell is a part with good rigidity, which not only plays a protective and supporting role, but also bears all the load. It is bolted to two slideways connected to the foundation. The double winch has a main reel (mounted on the right side, i.e. near the motor) and a secondary reel (mounted on the left side). A three-drum winch has a main drum (mounted in the middle), two sub-drums (mounted on the left and right), or two main drums (mounted on the right and middle), and one sub-drum (mounted on the left), each with a corresponding steering device and a steel rope guide.
